This is what I was talking about. Just because they know what learning is outside of class doesn’t mean they’ll automatically flip a switch and change everything they’ve ever known. There is a lifetime of learned experiences to sift through.

I”m sure there are plenty of professors saying the same thing..that their students don’t see what they see. Except they’re saying “why can’t they get the point I so clearly laid out for them” or “why aren’t they asking the questions that came up for me when I read this book, it’s so obvious”

Once you get there it seems obvious, but before you get there it doesn’t at all.
