One Response to “another paradox”

I couldn’t agree more. There was almost zero rebuttals and way too many canned answers in yesterday’s debate. The moderator almost served no purpose besides throwing out an “optional” question. I think the idea of knowledgeable politicians who have been in the game too long and are therefore out of touch with society at large is something to consider, but I think because of this concern, it has been taken to the opposite extreme lately. Now people are worried if there isn’t “maverick” “small-town” or something similar attached to a politician. A few mentions of a hometown or “you betcha(wink)” gets more points than what they actually say and do to prove themselves capable.
